Ten Days Calm

Welcome to Ten Days Calm. The aim of this course is to give you a basic overview of how you can bring more calm into your life. The words meditation, mindfulness and relaxation get thrown around a lot and are often used interchangeably. Do you really know what each means and what benefits each brings you? I am also going to throw in yoga nidra, yin yoga and pranayama, which may be unfamiliar terms.

There will be some theory, this is important to understand what you are doing and why you are doing it. There will also be recordings of practices to do each day. These are probably what you came for.

The course is structured over 10 days, this is so that you don’t ‘cram’ on the last day. The idea of Ten Days Calm is to help build a daily practice and to understand that that doesn’t mean dedicating a large proportion of your day to it.

The days are set out as follows:

Day 1. How to Do Calm

Day 2. Mindfulness or Meditation

Day 3. Full body relaxation

Day 4. Yin Yoga

Day 5. Meditations

Day 6. Mindful Walking

Day 7. Do nothing and have a rest

Day 8. Pranayama

Day 9. Yoga nidra

Day 10. There’s a Hole in My Bucket

Over the next ten days you will learn a bit about why we need more calm in our lives, but my hope is that you don’t need me to spell it out for you, it’s simply that you feel it.
